The Architecture Brief - Final Year College Work
This particular piece was a part of my final year college work. I decided to expand on the boundaries of what graphic design could be by answering an architectural brief. Knowing some architectural design basics definitely helped along the way, as well as in-depth research into the meaning of Universal Design. I ended up creating a public library space. The project consisted of the 3D model and an in-depth book covering the design and accessibility of the interior. The design of the building was hugely inspired by the Modernist and Brutalist movements in architecture due to fact that function and smart use of the space was an important element of these movements
The design of the book tried to emulate the concrete texture of the building and carry on the brutalist feel.
